Congratulations to our two Marconato star performers! Here's a picture of Rosie Ann Ballard. Congratulations to two star performers. Rosie is the daughter of Joanna Berns and Steve Ballard. Joanna is Cher who sparkled in the final of 'The One and Only' last year on prime time TV and is well known to the fans of Marconato as one half of 'Saturday Night Fever'. Steve is our favourite Elvis having appeared in Las Vegas and being one of the most popular acts. We are really glad the parents resisted the urge to call her Chelvis! |

Take Three Once upon a time, there were three shy young chaps Steve, Gary and Richard. And they were asked to perform by the Mayor of Broxbourne for three worthy charities in the town of Hoddesdon. They would receive the princely sum of nothing. The three charities were The Parkinson’s Disease Society, Hertfordshire Young Carers and Youth Projects in the Borough of Hoddesdon and Broxbourne. The venue was the magnificent Italian restaurant Marconato. |

The one and only vivacious Mayor, Carol Crump-Eynon waived her magic wand and the three chaps suddenly became Elvis, Freddie Mercury and George Michael. In a flash, they looked and sung just like the three heroes. A packed audience were so amazed at the transformation they bought hundreds of raffle tickets and raised £750. A group of amazing Carnival Princesses persuaded everybody to dig deep in their pockets. This was helped even more by the generosity of the Magic Genie and partner of Marconato, Farook who conjured up another £2155 from the restaurant. A super total of £2905 was raised. |
